Mug's Ale House
125 Bedford at N. 10th, W.burg
On JK's recommendation for a place to grab a bite in N.Wburg, I decided I could indeed go for a burger and beer. Darn good burger and inexpensive Stella (but you could get expensive beer too, if you're into that). What was surprisingly tasty though, was the calamari done up buffalo style*, blue cheese dipping and all . . . what was surprisingly growdy was the pickle . . . it had kind of a "mesquite" flavoring, how that happens, i dont' know, but definitly not my favorite pickle**.
As for ambiance, normal pub atmosphere with a large variety of jukebox tunes, good prices, fairly good service and really tall booths in the back that were fun to sit in.
*this is a good option for those vegetarians that still eat stuff from the ocean (I dont get it, but i'm sure you know someone with this definition of not eatting meat), especially if they once had buffalo wings and miss them
** best pickle, hands down, the "full baked" on cornbeef row in B-more
